Dermatology

During this rotation, we spend one week with a private Dermatologist in the community and three weeks at the Dermatology clinic at USF working directly with the Dermatology Attendings and Residents.  The volume of patients and dermatologic conditions you see in the first week with the community Dermatologist is truly amazing! The Dermatologist with whom we work is an excellent teacher; this week tends to be a whirlwind review of Dermatology. The three weeks at USF provide an opportunity to see a high volume of patients with a variety of problems, and you have opportunities to do procedures with the Dermatology Residents and Attendings. This is our opportunity to become very comfortable performing biopsies, cryotherapy, and electrocautery and desiccation.
