Morton Plant Hospital Staff Physician Wins 2001 Achievement Award

CLEARWATER, Fla. (January 24, 2002)---Morton Plant Hospital staff physician, Sherman H. Pace, M.D., recently received the Pinellas County Medical Society's "Year 2001 Achievement Award". The award is presented to a physician who demonstrates meritorious public service in Pinellas County.
"Dr. Pace was chosen over other medical society members for his 13-year commitment to the Pinellas County Community Foundation," said Hal Ziecheck, chief operating officer, Morton Plant Hospital. "He has been a staff member with Morton Plant Hospital since 1955 and contributed to the hospital in a variety of different ways including serving as past president of the Morton Plant Hospital Medical Staff and served as chairman of family practice and obstetrics-gynecology."
The Pinellas County Community Foundation disperses funds to various institutions such as Kimberly Home Pregnancy Center for pregnant teenagers, the Free Clinic, Operation PAR (Parental Awareness and Responsibility) and the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranches.
