Morton Plant Hospital Appoints New Director of Orthopaedic and Neuroscience Services

CLEARWATER, Fla. (February 25, 2002)---Morton Plant Hospital recently appointed A. Candace Tillquist, M.A., Ph.D., as its new orthopaedic and neuroscience services development director, responsible for overseeing the program development and growth of the hospital's orthopaedic and neuroscience programs. She will also coordinate the outpatient and inpatient elements of the service.
"With more than 12 years in the health care industry, Candace is well-versed in the clinical and business aspects of developing specialty areas," said Hal Ziecheck, chief operating officer for Morton Plant Hospital. "She will be instrumental in developing and launching new hospital programs and services related to orthopaedics and neuroscience."
Before joining Morton Plant Hospital, Tillquist served as director of the orthopaedic and neuroscience programs at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, Minn. She was actively involved in the planning and implementation of the Southwest Ambulatory Center of Abbott Northwestern Hospital, which brought outpatient surgical services to the southwest suburbs of Minneapolis.
