Morton Plant North Bay Hospital Hosts Back to School Health Fair Free For All Pasco County Students


NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., (July 18, 2011)¾ Morton Plant North Bay Hospital is helping parents get their children ready for another school year by hosting a Back to School Health Fair for all Pasco County School students. The health fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 6, 2011, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Morton Plant North Bay Medical Arts Building located at 6633 Forest Avenue, New Port Richey.

"We are pleased about our partnership with Pasco County Schools and hosting the Back to School Health Fair," said Hal Ziecheck, chief operating officer at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. "We hope this free community event provides reassurance for parents to know their children's health was checked and made a priority before sending them back to the classroom."  

The following will be offered free of charge to Pre K-12 students:

  • School/sports physicals
  • Cardiac screenings: EKG and Echo (high school students only)
  • Dental screenings (provided by the Pasco County Health Department)
  • School immunizations (provided by the Pasco County Health Department)
  • Fingerprinting (provided by the Pasco County Sheriff's Office)
  • General health information 

All students under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian present with them or a signed permission slip. All students 18 and older must bring photo identification. To register for the Back to School Health Fair, call (727) 940-2787.

Pasco County School Students are heading back to the classrooms Monday, August 22, 2011.
