Morton Plant North Bay Announces New Surgeon

NEW PORT RICHEY, Fla., (March 23, 2005) - Morton Plant North Bay Hospital announces the selection of Jose A Ramirez, MD as a new general and vascular surgeon to the hospital's medical staff. He will join the office practice of Dr. Nancy J. Taft at North Bay Surgical Associates, located at 6636 Forest Avenue in New Port Richey.
"Dr. Ramirez will be a great addition to our medical staff at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital," said William M. Jennings, administrator and COO. "His experience in general and vascular surgery enables him to perform a full range of surgical procedures including endovascular aneurysm repair, venous pathology, peripheral angioplasty and stenting."
Dr. Ramirez received his Doctorate of Medicine degree in 1985 from the Madre y Maestra Catholic University in the Dominican Republic. In addition to completing a general surgery residency at Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York, Dr. Ramirez completed a vascular fellowship at State University of New York and is certified in vascular surgery by the American Board of Surgery.
