International Center for Spine Surgery
The International Center for Spine Surgery is a special program developed especially for people who reside in Canada and are suffering from back or neck pain due to conditions like spinal stenosis, sciatica, or herniated discs, but who have been unable to receive surgical treatment for their discomfort in a timely manner.
Located in the beautiful Gulf-coast community of Dunedin, Florida, the Center offers convenient one-stop-shop pricing that is customized to each individual patient. Our program packages include fees for testing, surgery, accommodations while you are here, transportation from the airport, follow-up exams and more.
Our friendly and knowledgeable spine surgery navigators and care team will help you through every step of the process, even during your recovery. Typically, patients will be able to complete their testing, surgery and recovery in Dunedin in just one week.
All of the procedures performed at the International Center for Spine Surgery are minimally invasive, outpatient procedures and should not require overnight hospitalization. However, patients are welcome to stay in the hospital over night, if they choose. Procedures include:

Is the International Center for Spine Surgery Right for You?
The ideal candidate for this program is a person suffering from neck or back pain who has not been able to find surgical relief and who is looking for a timely treatment option by a board-certified surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery. Candidates for the international spine surgery program must have undergone at least one month of conservative (nonsurgical) care such as chiropractic adjustment, physical therapy, oral steroids or massage.
This program is designed for patients who can have surgery and recover within one week. Individuals with the following health issues are not candidates for the program:
- History of diabetes, heart disease, deep vein thrombosis or depression
- Obesity or a body mass index of greater than 34
- Pre-existing back or neck surgeries
- Use of any type of blood thinner
- Rheumatologic diseases such as osteoarthritis or fibromyalgia
