Mease Countryside Hospital is a Primary Stroke Center, accredited by The Joint Commission. This achievement signifies that Mease Countryside's stroke protocols meet the standards of the country's best programs. To qualify, a hospital must demonstrate readiness to deliver stroke care within the first three hours that the event occurs. Doing so can significantly improve recovery and can, in some cases, greatly reduce or eliminate the harmful effects of a stroke.
Mease Countryside spine surgery program has also been certifed by The Joint Commission. Spinal surgery certification encompasses three distinct procedures, discectomy, laminectomy and spinal fusion. Our certification demonstrates our commitment to a higher standard of service and enhances our ability to recruit staff for this prestigious program, which includes minimally invasive spine surgery.
If a good night's sleep is eluding you, Mease Countryside is also home to a Sleep Disorders Center accredited by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. Here a team of physicians and medical professionals with expertise in sleep medicine, ENT, neurology, pulmonology and psychiatry are available to accurately diagnose and treat your condition.
