Breast Program
Morton Plant North Bay Breast Program
The Breast Program was developed to create a multidisciplinary approach to breast services, including a quicker diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer and other conditions. When a person is referred to our Breast Program, she or he receives a coordinated approach to their diagnostic services as well as expedited appointment times. In the event of a breast cancer diagnosis, the patient will be seen by physicians of different specialties, including general surgery, medical oncology and radiation oncology. Results are received within seven days and reviewed by the team, who then creates a treatment plan for the patient.
An advanced registered nurse practitioner helps navigate the patient through the entire process. Access to support and complementary services, such as nutrition and case management, is offered to each patient.
